About

Oh, so you want to know more about this site. The idea of me having a blog has been in my head for quite some time. Seriously, it's been camping out in the forest of my mind for years. It has a trailer with an electric hook-up and everything. Every so often that thought would shoot a flare into the sky to try and get my attention. Well, one day I decided to stop pretending I couldn't see the flare. It wasn't fair of me to ignore it anyway.

I have created this blog as a space to share my thoughts, wonderings, and inspirations. I want you to feel comfortable here. You know that feeling when you grab a blanket fresh out of the dryer and cuddle up underneath it? Yeah, that kind of comfort. I think I would overall like to call this a cozy escape from anything that causes you tension.
Drawing of a rowan branch.

Why "Rowan"?

As you may have noticed, I drew a rowan branch. It is pretty much all over this site. Rowan trees, also known as mountain ash, have some very fascinating folklore behind them. The tree has many meanings across different cultures. I grew up knowing that the tree is magical and serves as protection against beings with malicious intent. The tree is also known as "traveller's tree" because it is said to prevent people on a journey from getting lost. My dad was also obsessed with druidism at the time I was born. The tree holds some significance in this area as well. In druidism, the rowan is known as a threshold between where you are and wherever you may go. I think it's one of the most enchanting plants out there and I feel fortunate to be named after it.
